I had to read the statement twice. What are we talking about here?
Are we going to eat up police resources and taxpayers' money to do a job parents should be doing? Are we going to turn our police force into a bunch of uniformed teenysitters? What should a policeman do with teenagers whose parents just don't give a damn?
Will our men in blue be trained by Baron Bomburst of Vulgaria (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) in the skills of rounding up children after dark and chucking them in wagons? Will teenagers caught out on the streets after curfew be penalised? How?
If parliament loses its senses and enacts such legislation how the hell is the police force going to enforce it? They become a taxi service?
I had warned you that the silly season came late this year.

No, it is not silly at all Lou. It seems that you have not been out and about lately in some entertainment avenues during the night and watch 13 year olds vomiting and urinating. Germany is a progressive country and has laws in place that regulates teen curfew till the age of 16 and then extended to 18.

Dear anonymous, we don't need laws, we need educated parents with common sense.
Lou , I do agree with Helen D'amato, you use to live in Canada, and you should remember their laws. The laws in Canada are: you have to be 19yrs old to go in a bar or hotel where there is alcohol. In America is 21yrs.Last New year's eve,we went to nice restaurant, we paid good money to go in, to our surprise it was full with children and prams. We didn't pay that money to see all those kids.No room where people can dance, because the kids went out dancing, it was really disgusting. I think the law should change,where alcohol is being served,the age to go in should be 19yrs.

Dear Gakku,since we live in a Democratic society and laws are there to guide and protect, thus curfews can exist to protect children from their senseless parents.
