The last post

I started this blog last June as a fun sideline. Over the months it has increasingly required more of me than I originally planned. Because of its popularity it has also complicated life in my day job, producing and presenting Bondi+.

Blogging is an all or nothing activity. You either say what you think or you say nothing at all. Mark Twain once said that there is no such thing as being a little pregnant. You either are or your're not. The same applies to blogging.

In view of both these two considerations, I decided to stop this blog.

From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank all those who have been following and commenting on it. It was a fun ride and it was great to have you on board.

That's a shame Lou. This is actually the first time I am commenting on your blog, however I have been following it for a while now. It is a very informative blog which gives a good insight into all things Malta. Good luck in all of your present/future endeavours.

Best regards,
Mark Seychell

That's a real pity.We need more blogs about political analysis.Yours and Daphne's are always a good read.

I hope that you might reconsider your decision sometime in the non too distant future.

@ray azzopardi...

its the freedom of expression that people like lou fought for that enabled him to write his blog freely, and so much so, the freedom for you to write your comment against him.

good luck lou, the work you are doing in all areas of life is priceless. those who know you, know that you are not just "bondi+"

Lou, You ruined my day. Straight forward political analysis are in short supply in Malta. Your blog is without doubt a nice breath of fresh air.
Malta desperately needs fearless journalists like you. You have the ability to put into words what people think of the issues of the day.

If I may say so, you are a national treasurer. In the interest of democracy in Malta,I just hope you will manage to keep this blog. I saw your Mom on TV and she could easily give you a hand. She is cool and articulate.

For our freedom my father sacrificed his youth gunning the Nazis at the lower Barraca, I am sure you as patriotic with your pen. So please reconsider.

will you be writing on tasteyourownmedicine.com now?!!! :)

we already get enough - too much of you on tv!! and peter pan2 I mean should you really judge on grammar?? hello ur name is peter PAN,,, TWO!! anyway fair well lou!!

Mr Anonymous .. internet aliases are not subject to grammatical rules. I could show my name as Kurt123 and that would still make sense. An alias' only job is to project a specific persona on the web.

Also, your spelling appears to be as bad as your grammar. It's "farewell" and not "fair well".

Your resignation is not accepted by your readers and it is not an option.
The country needs you Lou.

You raised the bar for the journalists and you must persevere for the sake of democracy.

Shame the semi-literate comment posters won't retire too. There's something about the internet that brings them out in droves.
