What a night!

Last night was special.

As all Malta went home and settled down after a day's work or a day of study, something extraordinary took place.

As the day came to an end and night fell, a bit of history was in the making.

At 2.30am Hillary Clinton's plane landed at Luqa Airport. This morning she will be meeting with prime minister Lawrence Gonzi to discuss the situation in Libya, before she heads off there.

This is the first time in our history that a US Secretary of State is visiting Malta specifically to discuss matters of state with a Maltese prime minister.

A leopard never changes its spots.

I have no doubt, with Labour in power violence and police intimidation against fellow Maltese will be the norm again. Joseph Muscat is giving these people a platform and his blessing. Once he is the PM his cronies will be controlling him and their militant agenda will take over.

@ Anonymous,
you mean Joseph's appeasement of the Socialist-era troglodytes is a bit like feeding the monster in the hope that you will be the last one he will gobble up?

We are constantly reminded that many public people who have supported labour in the past and are still supporting labour today, are prone to be agressive, rude, unreasonable and possibly even violent. In my opinion, these people, nice as they may be to some, cannot be trusted with any power themselves or having any close friends with power.
Joseph Muscat should be rid of many of these people that surround him....the trouble is, Joseph Muscat is probably one of them so that might make it a bit awkward for him to send anyone packing!
