An update on the green rexin sofa

Imagine this but in shiny rexin
In a previous post (click: Have you tried it on a rexin sofa, Jeffrey?) I reported on Eddie Fenech Adami's green rexin sofa and armchair suite still gracing the living room of his Bugibba home.

Apart from a typing error - I meant to write that it looked to me like it was made in the late 1960s not 1970s - I am now happy to pass on an update which puts matters in an even more telling perspective.

Fenech Adami had bought the suite second hand in the late 1970s when he was already PN leader. He had acquired it from fellow lawyer who was probably about to throw it away. Brilliant.

The suite is still there in all its green plastic glory, with the third generation of Fenech Adamis bouncing away on it.

They don't make green rexin sofas like they used to. The same applies to politicians.

Looks like a G-Plan original - very fashionable in the late 60s and sought-after today for that ultra hip retro look.
