We don't need YOUR education, Jeffrey

Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando has put up the comment below on facebook.

To accompany it he uploaded this graphic from the film based on Pink Floyd's, The Wall.

"It is so much easier to conform, to abide by 'the rules', to unquestioningly follow ... "Non-conformists do not have an easy life. Martin Luther King was assassinated for peacefully militating against racial discrimination, St. Francis of Assisi was beaten up by his father when he started acting 'differently',

"Columbus faced mutiny for insisting that the world wasn't flat, Gandhi suffered for labeling imperialism as being intrinsically evil.............but they acted as catalysts for change."

So is JPO now seeing himself sharing the same historical stage as Martin Luther King, St Francis of Assisi, Columbus and Gandhi.

Be still my heart. Which Floyd song do I need for this moment? 'On the turning away'? 'Comfortably numb'? 'Marooned'? 'The final cut'? ... Someone stop me, please.

Remaining anonymous is not a problem on Bondiblog. Calling yourself so, however, can be. Particularly for those who wish to respond to what you have to say.

So ideally you'd sign in your real name. But if you wish to remain anonymous please choose a pseudonym and stick to it. This will avoid the confusion caused when different people sign 'Anonymous'.

You forgot Norman Lowell, Arlette Baldacchino, and every crackpot on every roundabout and piazza corner in Italy.

They, too, believe themselves to be unique, daring and different.

And all, too, are middle-aged or plain old.

The delicate sound of Tander?
Wish you were there?
A momentary lapse of reason?
A foot in the door?
Money?
Not now Jeffrey?
Sorrow?
Lost for words?
High hopes?
What do you want from me?
Is there anybody in there?

Pullicino Orlando tried to be a catalyst to change Mistra Bay into a mini-Paceville.

This was the reason why he wasn't selected as minister - being non-confomist had nothing to do with it.

How about 'Comfortably Dumb'?

I've just read his comments in times.com where he claims that he won the last election for PN. Actually, had Alfred Sant not got his timing wrong, he would have lost the election for PN.

The great men mentioned by JPO lived a life of non-comformity at great sacrificy even the ultimate. There is no comparison to a flash in the pan, here today gone tomorrow politician. This is a case of putting bigger men behind for a larger shadow.

If JPO had any insight left , he would, by now, be aware of what is clearly evident to everyone else in Malta., ie that he has well and truly 'lost it'.
