The winter before last, "il-gurnalista indipendenti" Julia Farrugia spent three days acting like an idiot on a low-grade reality show on Comino.
To raise funds for l-Istrina? Nah. It was to raise funds for Super One TV, her party's station . But obviously, she still calls herself independent as she does around 3min 50 secs of this video.
She threw herself in icy waters, played silly games, took part in cringifying pour-your-heart-out intimate moments and generally made an ass of herself.
Then someone had the bright idea to have her take part in an interesting outdoor party game. Go to 1min 5 secs of this video.
She's quite a natural isn't she?

I wouldn't say she looks all that bad. Actually I think she looks quite a handful.
Today's Sunday Times editorial puts Julia's mentor Salvu Balzan down another peg. Did he really send a word document with the track changes included? What kind of idiot is he?

Lou, that is an air pistol, an HW45 to be exact.
Did they have permission from Weapons Office / Commissioner of Police to use that air gun outside of a licenced range?
Did they have permission for non-licenced persons to use that gun?
Without, it's all highly illegal.
I wonder.

What does the Medical council have to say about mercurial dentists and their facebook antics?
Some years ago, you protested, vigorously and rightly, when your name was linked to some person (I forget if it was a friend, associate or family member)who was involved in drugs.
Perhaps you could explain how this is different from your attempts to smear Julia Farrugia with allegations about her father. Allegations, let me point out, which are no more than rumours and for which he has never been accused or arraigned in court, let alone found guilty.
@Anonymous
Don't be plain stupid. Teachers were warned about setting a bad example towards children. So you're suggesting that the MAM prohibits doctors from using facebook because it would be bad for patients? *Sigh*
@ Victor Laiviera - Your thinking is slightly unhinged. In the case you mentioned I took AD, who had published the lie, to court and I won hands down. Secondly, from what you read you seem to register only what you'd like to believe. I had written about Julia Farrugia's character assassination of the PBS chairman, the fact that it is almost certain that he was set up and that lo and behold the cameramen who filmed him were Maltese. Thirdly, you also failed to register that it was Julia Farrugia and her lawyer, the PL deputy leader who drew connections between the murder of Raymond Caruana and Farrugia's "family", not me.
@ Lou Bondì
You reply is full of non-sequiturs. I did not refer to the PBS chairman affair, though there is a lot to be said there.
I merely pointed out that tarring Julia Farrugia with the (alleged) misdeeds of others is as unfair as the episode I mentioned where you were involved.
Can someone make a copy of that trashy letter Salvu sent the Times and post it online or at least post a link that leads to that letter?
@ Victor Laiviera - I am publishing your comment this one time so you won't say I censored you. Given that you appear to be incapable of following a simple logical argument, I have nothing to add to my previous comment.
If you plan to start posting here you are most welcome. But I'm afraid that you'll have to up your game from the Times blog comments section.
@ Lou Bondi
You wrote "I am publishing your comment this one time so you won't say I censored you."
Does that mean you propose to censor me in future unless I write what you want me to write?
@Victor Laiviera
What 'allegations about her father' are you talking about?
I've been following this blog from the day it was started and have never read any allegations.
@ Victor Laviera
imma kif ghadek ma xbajtx taqa' ghan-nejk...
hu parir... aghlaq halqek, hu vaganza... u ibqa' hemm...
meta se tinduna li tirrepeti kemm tirrepeti cucati, dawn ma jsirux verita', imma kull ma jsehh huwa li jaghmluk papru u/jew papagall!
@ Victor Laiviera - You did it again and worse this time. You failed again to register what I wrote and added the lie that I will censor you unless you write what I want. I suggest that you continue to hang around the safe playground you're used to. You might hurt yourself with the big boys here.
@ V. Laiviera
man, get a life! I know it's difficult for an obtuse semi-literate guy like you to stomach the fact that the political party he adores has been in the desert for such a long time, but you need to get a grip.
the way you and your ilk twist facts to try and make them suit your partisan exigencies is nothing less than pathetic.
and before starting a verbal diarrheoa at me because I'm a Nationalist, think twice. I'm no PN sympathiser, but I have enough brain cells to be able to call a spade a spade.
People like you are the biggest weapon in the PN's arsenal and you are a huge liability to the PL's cause.
maybe you should go hibernate and wait for a PL victory!
p.s. get someone to translate this for you should you stumble on some words or phrases.
It is such a thin line, between fair comments and those that are libelous, now take this for example:
I have seen the video you posted and I must say that I find, that the protagonist seems to have a really nice bottom.
Anything wrong with that?
@ V. Laiviera
p.s.
as Lou said, on this playground you might get hurt... we don't like bullies!
@ Lou Bondi
You wrote (I quote): "I am publishing your comment this one time so you won't say I censored you."
Unless the English language has been changed since I last looked, "this one time" means you don't intend to publish any more comments.
PS: I just LOVE Cikku's comment. I suggest you put him under contract. He raises the tone of your blog no end.
@ V - Read my comment, from which you quote, in its entirety.
@ Lou Bondì
By the way, I just noticed that, in an earlier post you referred to "the murder of Raymond Caruana". Now Caruana died when some raving idiot fired shots at the PN club facade with the door closed. No court in the world would find that to be "murder", which pre-supposes a clear intent to kill.
On the other hand, the person who carefully constructed a letter-bomb and sent it to Edwin Grech, clearly intended to kill somebody – and succeeded.
@ v - Let me see if I follow you. You say that spraying a political club full of people with machine-gun fire does NOT amount to "a clear intent to kill" because the door was closed. Errr ...
Secondly, I find it difficult to talk about the Karen Grech case because of family ties. Edwin Grech and my father were close friends. Edwin was in fact my father's witness at my parents' wedding and I remember Karen as a girl coming to our house. When she was murdered both my parents rushed to Malta to be with Edwin and Pearl and spend days on end with them.
@ V
ara vera ma tisthix! trid tkun vera mnejjek biex tghid li l-qtil ta' Raymond Caruana ma kienx "qtil".
imma kif tridu tibqghu tinjoraw is-sewwa maghruf?
jekk ma kienx omicidju, x'kien? harga mal-hbieb?
ahjar tmur tinheba u taghmel pjacir lill-umanita'!
@ V. Laiviera
are you serious? you really are on a suicide mission on PL's part?
you really think that R. Caruana's was NOT a murder?
have you been smoking anything in particular?
on which planet are you living?
what an odious comparison you make...
@ V.Said
You are either a born idiot,or you a rapidly moving to become one.
When persons fire machine guns, they usually expect bullets to come out of the barrel.,It takes an idiot to think otherwise, but we have to admit that we are not lacking in this commodity.
Some mothers do have them, yours must have been one of the unlucky ones.
